Broken videos

The reEmbed video player will detect and notify you if it fails to play a video embedded on your site.  A video will be flagged as broken for the following reasons:

  • deleted from YouTube (or other video service)
  • marked as private
  • embedding has been disabled
  • has country restrictions
  • wrong video Id is being used
  • the video could not be played

If any broken videos have been detected, you will receive a notification in your reEmbed dashboard.  A small red square will appear above the Videos link in the navigation menu, indicating the number of broken videos found.

Clicking on the red square will give you a list of all the broken videos found on your site.  You may click on each video to see a list of pages that it appears on, allowing you to review the problem, and to fix it.
